Lindsey Graham framed alone in empty portrait as 2016 bid struggles
Rick McKee, CagleCartoons.com
A political cartoon by Rick McKee published December 16, 2015, depicts a large ornate frame containing only the head and shoulders of Sen. Lindsey Graham. The bottom caption reads Group Photo of All of Lindsey Graham's Supporters. The image appeared during the early 2016 Republican presidential primary season when Graham's campaign registered minimal polling support. The composition places Graham at the bottom center of the vast empty interior to emphasize isolation. McKee's signature appears on the right edge alongside the caglecartoons.com credit.

Stock Ticker Displays Market Panic With Exclamations of Pain
RJ Matson, Portland, ME
On September 16 2008 the financial markets faced severe turmoil following the Lehman Brothers collapse and AIG intervention. R.J. Matson's cartoon depicts two stock tickers filled with exclamations such as AACK AIEEE AIG ARGH and OOF OOPS OUCH. Fractional numbers appear in decline across both displays. The visual directly references the rapid market drops and investor panic of that week. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch published the piece through Cagle Cartoons.
